It is very tempting to start to test less regularly. The outsides of the fingers give more blood and though this area hurts initially it doesnt leave such a long sensitivity afterwards.
Test regularly after all keeping the diabetes in control doing blood tests is FAR better than the alternates. No legs, blindness, kidney failure, amputated arms, strokes, heart problesm, etc etc etc.
A little finger stabbing is in the long run a small price to pay.
Try setting the lancet device to a lower setting and change the sharp as often as possible like every other test. The longer you use it the more painful it becomes.
