If you are undiagnosed to the point of blindeness there is no going back. However, if you catch it early, As you will feel sick before that point, then any eye problems are usually reverseable. I had high blood sugars for about 3 months and my eyesight started to get blurry to the point of needing glasses...I no longer wear my glasses, and have my great vision back with better control of my blood sugars. So some of it is reversable.
