May i know if diabetes is dangerous to my health ?
---------------------------------------------------
I would definately find a new doctor with more expertise in
treating Diabetes. It's true some diabetics can get their sugar
levels under control with just exercise and dieting. But I think
the majority tend to need some help in the form of a pill to
lower our levels, or perhaps insulin if the pills aren't effective.
You need to be checking your sugar levels at home, to moni-
tor how well they stay within the safe range. If they remain
high, you are at extreme risk for complications from this
disease. There are too many factors involved for you not to
be on top of your disease and know what you have to do, so
you need to be taught by a true diabetic professional. An
Endocrinoligist, to be more clinically correct. Someone who
works with diseases of the blood and can help you find the
education you need, as well as helping you with the medication you also need, if that is required. I feel your
currant doctor is not well educated enough in his treatment
for your specific case of diabetes. And you can get another
opinion from someone more qualified to treat you. You
should not be feeling weak, if you are on a proper diet. And
if you are gaining weight, then you are probably eating the
wrong foods and too much of that as well. I have a friend,
who's diabetic and gets headaches whenever she eats
something she knows she shouldn't as a diabetic. Perhaps
your body is trying to tell you the same thing. So you need
to get help from someone who can really help you, and soon.
