I started taking Byetta a week ago. So far I have none of the awful side effects that everyone warns you about. No nausea, no vomiting no headaches. However, you do have to make sure you eat within 60 minutes of taking it or your sugar will drop quite alot, enough even to cause hypoglcemia which it has done to me a few times. Then you get really tired all of a sudden and fall asleep and maybe feel a bit dizzy. But overall it works great, my blood sugar readings are consistenly under 110 since startiing it. I also take Metformin.
