What causes a person to sweat during a low blood sugar/ hypoglycemia?
---------------------------------------------------
Sympathetic excitation .
What happens when you have hypoglycaemia is the body is put on alarm , it is an adaptive response aimed at ensuring survival by making the individual more likely to seek food above any other priority . In primitive conditions the anger , increased heart rate , muscle blood flow etc would have provided extra strength needed to make sure the individual ACQUIRES the food it needs .
Of course associated with HUNGER sweating might make no sense . But in the original setting of sympathetic activation , which is to prepare to body for "fight , fright or flight " , increased sweating is important to lower the temperature of the over-performing body .
